How it works
One postcode in. Your local picture out.
Your postcode is checked against the borough boundary and matched to its ward and parliamentary constituency. From there the app shows who represents you and what's around you. Your postcode stays on your phone.
- Ward Which of the borough's 23 wards you live in ONS via postcodes.io
- Councillors Your ward councillors, their party and how to contact them Royal Borough of Greenwich
- MP The MP for your constituency, with a link to their record UK Parliament
- Nearby Independent local businesses, nearest first, by category Listed by the businesses
Councillor and MP details link back to the council's and Parliament's own pages
What's in it
Who represents you, without the hunting.
Most people don't know their ward, let alone their councillors' names. The information is public, it's just spread across several websites. My Greenwich puts it in one place and keeps it neutral.
Every Greenwich postcode
All 23 wards, from Thamesmead Moorings to Eltham Page. Enter a postcode from outside the borough and the app tells you where it is instead of showing a blank screen.
Contact in one tap
Councillor emails are shown once they've been checked against the council's own site. Where they haven't, the app links to the council's contact page instead.
Neutral by design
No commentary, no ratings, no party angle. Councillors are shown in the same way, whichever party they represent.
Private by design
No account, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising. Your postcode is stored on your phone and we never receive it.
Accessible
Built to the standards expected of local government services. Dynamic Type, VoiceOver and Reduce Motion are supported throughout, and party is shown in words, not just colour.
Made in the borough
Built by an independent studio in SE18 by someone who lives here, using the same public data approach as Who Is My MP?

Common questions
Quick answers.
Is it made by the council?
No. My Greenwich is an independent app made by a small studio in the borough. It isn't produced or endorsed by the Royal Borough of Greenwich, and it links to the council's own pages for anything official.
Does it work outside Greenwich?
No, it covers the Royal Borough of Greenwich only. To find your MP anywhere in the UK, use Who Is My MP?
Can it tell me my bin day?
Not yet. Collection days belong to the council, so for now the council's own website is the place to check.
Is it on Android?
Not yet. It's built for iPhone first, and we'd rather do one platform properly before starting a second.
How do I get a listing changed or removed?
Email contact@mygreenwich.uk from the address you listed with and we'll sort it, usually within a few days.
